In this respect, the literary myth of Dochia represents an ideal cultural product of that heterogeneous diverse century, that strove to, experimented and set the foundations of the modern Romanian culture. That is not necessarily for the literary calibre of the works in which she appears - often rather poor (not always, though, Eminescu and some others being an exception) - as for the fact that, on one hand, the narrative variations having reference to such works build up one of the uncommon "Romanian literary myths", which is genuinely "literary", as well as genuinely "Romanian" and that, on the other hand, in the process of constructing such myth, the literary invention commendably weaves historical reminiscences, political allegories, and folkloric suggestions.
